Ironwood Farm is a 120-acre equine boarding, training and riding facility located on Highway 25 North at Highway 16, just south of Carthage, Mississippi.

We currently offer full monthly boarding at $350 per month (see below for details of services included) - 10% discount for multiple horses! 

We are a Christian facility and we need to advise our web-site viewers that our mission has changed.  When we first broke ground last May our intentions were to run a full riding facility with weekly rodeo events and various training classes.  Some things we will still offer but our focus has shifted to youth ministry and youth-based training, including working with special needs children and young adults.

We are still under construction (see our Photo Book for progress) but when complete we will offer day camps, youth retreats, equine clinics and other events.  Check "Upcoming Events" for updates or request to be added to our events mailing list.  While we finalize our construction (and because Stephenia is expecting her 2d baby in September) we will be limiting our clinics, camps, and training classes this year.   

Equestrians with special needs are welcome at our facility - in fact, we are designing our arenas and event areas to the requirements set forth by the Special Olympics committee.  We are currently working on our "Special Equestrians" program designed to provide lessons, training, and events for horse lovers with special needs.

Boarding Barn

Our 16-stall boarding barn is state-of-the-art with the followig:

One (1) 12'x18' foaling stall with 50'x54' attached paddock.

Fifteen (15) 12'x12' stalls, 14 with 12'x50' attached run & 1 with a 20' x 50' paddock.

All stalls include:

• automatic waterers
• wall-mounted combo hay & grain feeders 
• grilled front and sides for ventilation
• rubber mat flooring for comfort

All boarders have an individual tack room/locker.  Each measures  3'w x 4'd x 8'h and is equiped with wall-mounted saddle rack, bridle rack, blanket rack, and adjustable hooks for loose tack or grooming kits.  Each stalled horse is assigned an owner's tack room - meaning those owner's with multiple boarders will have a dedicated space for each horse. Every tack room is lockable (we will hold a spare key for you in the office just in case you misplace - or forget - yours).

 The barn also includes:

• kitchen

• 12x12 feed room 
• office (with emergency medical locker)
• washrack with overhead sprayboom; workbench with sink area for vet and ferrier use
• dedicated tool area
• 24-hour on-site care

Training & Riding Facilities

Our training facilities are still under construction; once complete we will feature:

• 100' x 200' warm-up / all-purpose arena

• 220’ x 220’ all-purpose arena

• 66’ round pen for training & smaller starter pen

• Working & western trail training areas with control, agility & calmness obstacles

• Exercise track 

• 100 acres of wooded and open pasture riding trails
